Prime Minister Of Israel Speaks To Congress About 1967 Border Issue PDF Print E-mail

prime minister israel 2_1.jpg

A statesman inspires the world with his courage and complete commitment to the freedom and safety of Israel...

Listening to Prime Minister Netanyahu speak to Congress and watching as Congress rose to their feet over and over to support him, we were  reminded once again of all that is good in our country.   We, despite the many hardships of the past years, are still the “home of the brave and land of the free”.  And despite all that is happened in Washington, today made clear that Congress is still capable of great good.

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech was as brilliant as it was simple.  His absolute honesty and plain speech made it easy to picture what life is like for Israeli families today.   Not long ago, Israel gave up a lot of land to the Palestinians in hopes of obtaining peace.  Since then, the Palestinians have fired over 12,000 rockets into Israeli businesses, homes and school buses (see:  A Mom’s Cry)

If Israel were to agree to give up on a united Jerusalem as Obama appeared to call upon them to do, parts of Israel would only be 9 miles wide.  The Hamas and Palestine could reach every home in Israel with their rockets-and they would!  As the Prime Minister so eloquently said:  Would we be willing to live like that?  Would anyone?  The truth is we wouldn't and they shouldn't have to!

He went on to say that Israel could only truly negotiate peace with partners that truly wanted peace themselves.  The Hamas Charter says “Kill the Jews wherever you find them!”.  Their leader has praised Osama Bin Laden as a “Holy Warrier”.  Clearly, the Hamas do NOT seek peace.    Prime Minister Netanyahu    went on to say, that the Hamas are the Al Qaeda of Palestine.

After September11th, we were not willing to negotiate with the Al Qaeda, and rightfully so, for there are some hatreds, such as Radical Islam and Nazi Germany, that can never be appeased, they can only be defeated.   Why would we try to force Israel, who has been fired upon over 12,000 times, to do so?

The Prime Minister went on to thank both Congress and America for all that they had done, saying that the “Flame of Freedom grows bright throughout the world” because of America, and repeatedly thanked both Congress and our country both for our support for Israel and our support for Freedom.

We stand at the brink of the forming of a Radical Islamic Caliphate which many Americans believe our own President has helped to form by the choices he has made in the Middle East.  And we stand at the brink of a war that, if it happens, will make WWII and the Holocaust look like a walk in the park.    Only time will tell if our government will find the courage and the will to stop it before it is too late.  But no matter which direction Washington goes,  History will write that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech shown as a light unto the world of courage and statesmanship that have seldom been seen  in our times.  And good people will remember, and be grateful.

May God Bless America and Her People, and May God Bless Israel and Keep Her People Safe,

In God We Trust,

Israel: A Mother’s Cry PDF Print E-mail

By Linda Olmert, IsraelLinda Olmert Photo_1.jpg

When the school bus was hit with an anti-tank missile just a few weeks after the children in Jerusalem had been attacked waiting for their bus to take them home, the news traveled throughout Israel within minutes.   In a country as vast as America, news often takes time to spread, but in Israel, our country is so small with a total population of just 7 million, that within minutes  we all knew that our children had been attacked once again.  For us, it’s as if September 11th happens again and again.

ScreenHunter_08_May._10_13.12.jpgThe truth is, so many of us lost family in death camps such as Auschwitz.  As survivors  of Auschwitz my parents never got over  the unspeakable horror or the loss of their entire families and never, never truly healed.  I am not that the Jewish people will ever heal.   It’s hard to explain to someone who wasn’t there how horrific it was to watch as those you love were starved and beaten over and over.   And whether they died from the illnesses that spread through the camps like a wildfire or whether they were marched to the gas chambers, those that survived never really get over the horror and helplessness they felt.  It’s not only for themselves they grieve, but for the people they could not save.  But most of all they never got over seeing the face of evil, and knowing that they were not deemed worthy of life for no reason other than the fact that they were born Jews.

America & Israel must face the world as it is PDF Print E-mail
Editorial, Theresa FlemingiStock_000001447809XSmall.jpg

The  danger Israel & America face today is fueled by the same hatred that fueled the death camps of Auschwitz and Treblinka.  It is the kind of hatred that is all consuming.  It cannot be negotiated with and it will never end.  It does not value life and it exists without conscience.  It is evil beyond normal human comprehension.  And no amount of land and no type of compromise will ever pacify it.

For it wants nothing less than Israel, and America's, complete and total destruction.  It is what Radical Islam exists for and it is what they fight for as well.

Although some might think that this hatred is already well understood, it is not.   For those who cherish life simply cannot understand those who value death.  Are there Muslims who wish peace?  Absolutely!  But they are too few and they are too silent.    And a silent ally saves no one.

Life for children in Israel PDF Print E-mail
A great statesman once said, "Those who fail to learn from the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them".  Sadly, we have not yet learned from history, or the holocaust.  Israel has been under attack since the day it was created by those who survived camps such as Auschwitz.  Today, a new generation has taken their place.  One whose parents are Holocaust survivors and whose children have been under attack since they have been born.

The Jewish people are, and have always been, God's Chosen People.  When even one dies, God weeps.  Please take a moment and watch the below is a video.  What would we do they were our children?
