"Hip replacements, cataract surgery and tonsil removal are among operations now being rationed in a bid to save the NHS money."
"Birmingham is looking at reducing operations in gastroenterology,
gynaecology, dermatology and orthopaedics. Parts of east London were
among the first to introduce rationing, where some patients are being
referred for homeopathic treatments instead of conventional treatment."

"Scientists have created more than 150 human-animal hybrid embryos in British laboratories.
The hybrids have been produced secretively over the past three years by researchers looking into possible cures for a wide range of diseases.
The revelation comes just a day after a committee of scientists warned of a nightmare ‘Planet of the Apes’ scenario in which work on human-animal creations goes too far."

"With a dangerous heat wave building from the southern Plains into the Upper Midwest through the middle of next week, it’s important to recognize the symptoms of heat disorders — from sunburn to heat cramps to heat exhaustion to heat stroke — and know what to do. Please be sure to stay informed and help spread the message to your family, friends and neighbors — especially the elderly — who live in affected areas."
Minneapolis Star Tribune meteorologist Paul Douglas wrote: " The projected Heat Index on Sunday is forecast to be in the 105-115 range from central and southern Minnesota southward to the Gulf coast. The risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke will be significant across the central third of the USA, especially Sunday/Monday of next week."
