As Moms, we all want the same things for our children. We want for them
a life that is anchored by faith and family and lighted by their hopes
and dreams for the future. And we want to provide them with the
education that they will need to one day go in pursuit of those dreams.
We hope they will grow to be compassionate, caring adults who
understand as much about the responsibilities of being an American
citizen as they do about the rewards. And we hope that as they grow, we
will be able to give them life's greatest gift-Faith. Faith in God,
faith in themselves and faith in each other.
But at some time in our life, we all go through difficult time and it is that Faith that gets us through them. And that's why as a Mom, I am so
grateful to the members of Big Daddy Weave for creating "Hold Me
Jesus", because it reminds us all that Jesus is always with us-in good
times and in bad...and it reminds that even in the tough times, we just have to have Faith. To hear their song and see a picture version on You Tube, please use the below link:

From Worthy News Devotionals:
Revelation 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto
him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made
us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for
ever and ever. Amen.
"One day a passerby saw a homeless man on
the roadside. He stopped for a moment to hand him some loose change and casually
said "God bless you, my friend”. "I thank God," said the homeless man, "I am
never unhappy."
"What do you mean?" the passerby asked. "Well," he said,
"when the sun is out, I thank God -- when it rains, I thank God. When I am full,
I thank God and when I am hungry, I thank God. And, since God's will is my will,
and whatever pleases Him pleases me, why should I say I am unhappy when I am
not?" The man looked at him in astonishment and asked, “Who are you?”
"I
am a King," said he.
"Where, then, is your Kingdom?" asked the man.
"In my
heart." The homeless man replied.
Yes, we can have nothing, yet have it
all. So often, we focus on what we have and forget who we are! The two are not
related at all -- what we have (or don't have) has nothing to do with who we
are! The Word says that we are kings and priests and so it is!
"My friends, let's give all our concerns to the Lord and
see ourselves as He does -- Kings and Priests! Thank God in every circumstance
and there, we will find our victory."

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagle |

From Worthy Devotions:
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be
weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
"We've all heard the
word "nesting" but have we ever taken a close look at true nesting in action?
This is neat.
When a mother eagle starts building her nest, she begins
using items we wouldn't at all expect for such a job -- sharp thorns, broken
branches, rocks. Later, she places on top of it a layer of wool, feathers, and
fur from animals she has killed, making it soft and comfortable for her eggs.
Her eggs eventually hatch and her little ones grow to flying age. As with any
creature, growing up is never an easy thing. That's precisely when mom begins
"stirring up the nest." With her strong talons, she begins pulling up the thick
carpet of fur and feathers, bringing the sharp rocks and branches to the
surface. As more of the bedding gets plucked up, the nest becomes more
uncomfortable for the young eagles. Eventually, this and other urgings prompt
the little eagles to leave their once-comfortable abode and move on to bigger
and better things like learning to fly and eventually making homes and families
for themselves.
I think some of us may have gotten a little too
comfortable in our nests. We've had all the warmth, comfort and free meals we
could want but all good things come to better things, with the Lord! It's time
we learned to fly!

Worthy Devotionals-Just as ants can’t prosper on their own, neither can we as believers |

Thursday, 21 February 2008 |
From Worthy News Devotionals:
Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
"If you look at the ant you will find that they dwell in
colonies. Each colony consists of approximately 60,000 - 90,000 ants —
they really can’t prosper on their own. They need each other. How does
a colony of that many ants to work together? The only reason it works
is that they operate in unity. Each ant shares the same purpose, the
same goal, and the same aim.
Just as ants can’t prosper on their own, neither can we as
believers. As ants need each other, so do God’s children. We need to
dwell together as they do. The way we dwell together is by sharing the
same purpose. We don’t have to agree on when the tribulation or rapture
is going to happen. Those are all secondary things. But we do have to
be intent on the same purpose, to glorify God and spread His Word, to
love God and each other. Let’s aim to accomplish the task that God has
set before us and God will be faithful bless our colony!
We can’t let the ants put God’s people to shame! Stay encouraged and focused on the ultimate goal!" To sign up to receive the Worthy Devotionals, please visit Worthy News

God Know's What He Is Doing... |

Saturday, 23 February 2008 |
From Worthy Devotionals:
"Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to his
purpose.
"In her book, Let Me Be a Woman, Elizabeth Elliot
records the story of a friend who had great difficulty accepting the looks God
had given her. While everyone this girl knew had grown beautiful golden hair,
hers was black. And while they were all still growing, she had stopped. She grew
to be only about four feet ten inches tall.
Eventually, she reached the
country to which God had called her to be a missionary. One day, she stood on
the wharf in Shanghai and looked around at the people to whom He had called her.
"Every single one of them" she said, "had black hair. And every one of them had
stopped growing when I did." She was able to look to God and exclaim, "Lord God,
You know what You're doing!"
Are you struggling
with something specific today? Have you been asking, "Why Lord?!" Whether we
realize it or not, God knows what He's doing! We may not understand it today --
but He has known these things from the very beginning. And He really is carrying
out His great plan in us! "
