But no issue in recent memory has united conservative bloggers like the debate over immigration. Their frustration has culminated in a full-scale revolt against the Bush administration and a Senate bill that activists say does little to solve the country's border security problems." May 21st, 2007  “Any package that grants immediate legal status to 12 million illegal aliens is a form of amnesty. Further, allowing the vast majority of illegal aliens to remain in the U.S. indefinitely while awaiting a green card is a disservice to those pursuing American citizenship through legal means. “The United States already has a path to citizenship that is utilized by about 1 million people a year – it begins by applying legally, waiting your turn in line, and earning American citizenship according to our nation’s needs. While the process is far from perfect, it is equitable. “The Senate package surrenders to an illegal immigration battle it appears unwilling to fight.
