Meet The People That Barack Hussein Obama Helped Take Over Libya
Sunday, 23 October 2011
From The Telegraph:

"In Benghazi, on the main square where it all started, they were slaughtering camels in celebration. There they sat, eight of them, feet tied so they could not move, quivering with fear as they were beheaded one by one. As soldiers fired rifles in the air, members of the cheering crowd held up the severed heads as trophies. They daubed their hands in the camel-blood, and gave the V-for-victory sign with dripping fingers."

"But away from the square, the birthplace of the revolution was not in party mood. The streets were fairly quiet. And in the cafes, people were watching TV pictures – more graphic than any shown in Britain – of a bloodied Gaddafi dragged along and beaten, feebly protesting, before a gun was put to his head."

(Being) Courageous May Not Be What You Think
Friday, 21 October 2011
By Sharon HughesSharon_Hughes.jpg

From the opening scene in Courageous, the latest film by the makers of the popular faith-inspiring movie, Facing the Giants, which opened last weekend, courage is showcased in ways you would expect, and in ways you may not expect.

The acting was great, the plot thickened (several times), and addressed some of the very real issues our culture is dealing with in effective and believable ways. I needed a lot of tissues for this one.

It's natural to think of policemen as being courageous, and this movie had plenty of action scenes that didn't shy away from displaying the courage it does take to deal with some of the dangerous elements of society, such as gangs.

U.S. capital now sanctuary city by executive order
Thursday, 20 October 2011
From The Examiner.com:

"While the Obama White House denies claims of fudged immigration statistics and de facto amnesty by presidential fiat, on Wednesday the District of Columbia became a "sanctuary city" for illegal aliens without comment by leaders of either political party.  D.C.'s Mayor Vincent Gray signed an executive order to ban police officers from making inquiries into a person's immigration status. While most foreign countries regularly ask visitors to display their passports and visas, the capital of the United States now prohibits such requests by law enforcement. "

Is Syria Next On Barack Hussein Obama's List?
Thursday, 20 October 2011

From White House Press Briefing, October 20, 2011:

"Q Jay, the President mentioned the inevitable end of the rule of the Iron Fist in his remarks just now. Does the President believe that Qaddafi’s downfall sends a message to Syria’s Assad?"

"MR. CARNEY: The President believes that Syria’s leader has lost his legitimacy to rule. The violence he has perpetrated against his own people is unacceptable. I think it’s fair to say that the events of this entire year in that region of the world have spoken more dramatically than any individual could about where the future lies in that region. And it’s a future that lies with the youth of the region and those who are demanding greater democracy, greater accountability from their governments, greater freedom. That’s as true in Syria as it is in Libya."
