As Moms, we all want the same things for our children. We
want for them a life that is anchored by faith and family and lighted
by their hopes and dreams for the future. And we want to provide them
with the education that they will need to one day go in pursuit of
those dreams. We hope they will grow to be compassionate, caring
adults who understand as much about the responsibilities of being an
American citizen as they do about the rewards. And we hope that as
they grow, we will be able to give them life's greatest gift-Faith.
Faith in God, faith in themselves and faith in each other.
But
to do all of those things, we realize that we need to stay involved and
stay informed about the events and issues that our children will face. Moms
For America is dedicated to helping Moms and their families get the
information they need about the issues and events that will effect
their lives and the lives of their children, as well as providing links
to information on family and faith issues
and current stories in the news.
We hope
that you will find this site helpful. If you would like to see

McIntyre Announces Passage of Bill to Protect North Carolinian Jobs from Unfair Trade
Wednesday, 09 May 2012
From MikeWorksForMe:
U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre announced that the U.S. House of
Representatives has passed legislation which he co-sponsored to protect
North Carolinian jobs from unfair trade practices utilized by counties
with non-market economies like China and Vietnam. Congressman McIntyre
is an original cosponsor of the bill which would apply countervailing
duty provisions to prevent unfair trade practices that harm the
competitiveness of U.S. products and companies."
" North Carolina has become the 31st state to add an
amendment on marriage to its constitution, with voters banning same-sex
marriage and barring legal recognition of unmarried couples by state and
local governments." Incomplete returns show the amendment up 59.72 percent to 40.28 percent.
From Marine Corps Times: "McIntyre, a Democrat, beat Republican Ilario Pantano, finding refuge
from a rising GOP tide in his reputation for conservatism and ability to
draw home federal dollars. McIntyre stood as the candidate who knew his
district and its needs in a way the relative newcomer Pantano did not. "This was a race about standing up for the people of southeastern North
Carolina," McIntyre told the Associated Press. "You have to know your
people and love your people if you're going to serve them. It's not for
someone else's national agenda."

Tennessee Legislature Passes Bill To Protect Religious Liberty
Tuesday, 08 May 2012
From The Family Action Council Of Tennessee:
"The Tennessee legislature just passed a bill to protect the religious
liberty of student organizations at Tennessee’s publicly funded
colleges. But the real controversy was over a provision applying the law
to Vanderbilt University. Vanderbilt
created a policy requiring student organizations to accept any student
who wants to be a member and to allow any student to run for a student
office, meaning an atheist could wind up being an officer of a Christian
organization. But fraternities and sororities didn’t want this kind of
“all-comers” policy applied to them, so Vanderbilt exempted them. This
unequal treatment didn’t escape the notice of the legislators.
Essentially the bill lets Vanderbilt choose between allowing
Christian organizations to require that their members and officers be
Christians or requiring Greek organizations to accept any interested
student too. Now the question is, “Which option will Vanderbilt choose?”

Could Washington Force Every American To Be Implanted With A Microchip
Saturday, 05 May 2012
From World Net Daily:
"Albrecht said the move is another step in the trip down the road of
having every person implanted with a chip that might very well monitor
health but also other areas of life. Microchipping, she said, already is “par for the course” for pets in
many parts of the nation, and that acceptance will make it easier to
require it for people."
